Who We Are: Unique Girls Guide (UGG)

Introduction

We live in a world where there are racial discrimination, in-equality between genders, prostitution, molestation, crises, economic instability, high rate of teenage pregnancy, robbery, chaos, high rate of parental irresponsibility which leads to dropout from school and lots more.

In this entire malady, it is the female child that mostly fall victim. Undoubtedly every day there are tens, hundreds and possibly thousands of underprivileged teenage girls who are sexually abused by reckless men and women. Also there are hundreds of younger girls forced into early marriage and some go into prostitution just to meet up to certain petty needs which are no doubt crucial for their well being.

We see a lot of girls in street, struggling to survive. But in this cruel world most often such girls with little or no education, parental up bringing, skill or trade or adequate MORAL TRAINING from a mentor or guardian, soon give up due to certain limitation created by selfish men and women in our society just to take advantage of these girls who are often referred to as the weaker vessel.

This young female child had looked for liberation and assistance from the government but often very little is done. They look up to religious bodies for help yet very little is done to remedy this malady. Even their parents that are the first custodians are either too busy or negligence to support.

In 2014, the VISION `UNIQUE GIRLS GUIDE CARE` for the sole purpose of resolving this societal challenge of the female child. UGG was premeditated to train up these girls with good ethics through mentorship programs and impart on them through Skills acquisition seminar which will help them throughout their lifetime. It was created to bring the girls out of the street into a new world of HOPE, CONFIDENCE, HIGH SELF-ESTEEM and SELF-WORTH.

In UGG we believe the female child is important, special and unique. Also we have the belief that everyone is useful regardless of the religion, creed, culture and educational background of the other persons. We also believe that we share one status and that is `WE ARE ALL CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD` therefore, the spirit of inequality has no ground in the UGG terrain.

UGG is a goal oriented and intends to enlighten girls of their self-worth, uniqueness and imbedded abilities which will enable them to stand out in the society and enable them to become high achievers in their lifetime.

In these times and season when the slogan of the world is `ONLY THE FITTEST SURVIVE`. We seek to empower these underprivileged girls with the right mentality about who they are and what they can positively do with their lives to earn a good living and the respect of others.
